At De Chaumes Elementary, we believe that regular communication about student progress is essential for academic growth and success. 📈📘 Report cards are issued every nine weeks and provide families with a detailed overview of student performance in core subjects, including reading, math, science, social studies, and conduct. Each report card reflects student achievement based on a variety of assessments, including classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, participation, and long-term projects. 📝💡

Our grading policies are aligned with the guidelines established by Houston ISD to ensure fairness, consistency, and clarity across all grade levels. 💼📋 In addition to report cards, families are encouraged to use Parent Student Connect (PSC) to monitor student progress throughout the grading period. This helps foster strong school-to-home communication and allows families to be proactive in supporting their child’s learning journey. 🏠🤝
