πβ¨ Report Cards & Grading at De Chaumes Elementary ππ
At De Chaumes Elementary, we believe that regular communication about student progress is essential for academic growth and success. ππ Report cards are issued every nine weeks and provide families with a detailed overview of student performance in core subjects, including reading, math, science, social studies, and conduct. Each report card reflects student achievement based on a variety of assessments, including classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, participation, and long-term projects. ππ‘
Our grading policies are aligned with the guidelines established by Houston ISD to ensure fairness, consistency, and clarity across all grade levels. πΌπ In addition to report cards, families are encouraged to use Parent Student Connect (PSC) to monitor student progress throughout the grading period. This helps foster strong school-to-home communication and allows families to be proactive in supporting their child’s learning journey. π π€
If you have questions about your child's grades, need help interpreting a report card, or would like to discuss academic concerns, our campus grading coordinator, Ms. Vega, is here to help! π§π«β¨ You can reach her by email at π§ AVEGA@houstonisd.org.
We are committed to partnering with you to ensure that every student at De Chaumes reaches their full potential. π Let’s work together to make this school year a successful one! ππ
